Welcome to the Umbrella Special Forces Unit® Gaming Community ("USFU", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. These terms are designed to ensure a safe, secure, and inclusive environment for all members.
2. Age and Content Restrictions
Age Requirement: Membership is restricted to individuals 16 years of age or older.
Content Advisory: Our community engages in discussions and activities related to games rated Mature (M) or Adult Only (AO) by the ESRB. Strong language and mature themes are present throughout our content and discussions.
Violation: Accounts created by individuals under 16 will be terminated, and associated data will be deleted.
3. Data Collection, Use, and Security
Data Collected: We collect personal information such as usernames, email addresses, and gameplay data for community management purposes.
Data Use: All data is used strictly for operational purposes and is never sold or shared with third parties outside of necessary service providers.
Data Security: We use encryption, firewalls, and regular security audits to protect your information.
Disclaimer: Despite these measures, USFU is not liable for any loss or breach of data resulting from unauthorized access, cyberattacks, or user negligence. Members are responsible for safeguarding their accounts.
4. LGBTQ+ Inclusivity Clause
The Umbrella Special Forces Unit® Gaming Community is a safe and inclusive space for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, or other protected characteristics.
Prohibited Behavior: Discrimination, hate speech, or harassment targeting LGBTQ+ individuals or any other marginalized group will not be tolerated.
Commitment to Equality: We actively support diversity and inclusivity within our community to foster a welcoming environment for everyone.
5. Standing Community Regulations
All members of the Umbrella Special Forces Unit® Gaming Community are expected to adhere to our Standing Community Regulations. These regulations provide additional guidelines and expectations for behavior, participation, and conduct.
Binding Agreement: By joining the USFU, you agree to follow these regulations.
Updates and Enforcement: The regulations are subject to updates, and members are responsible for staying informed and compliant.
6. Community Game Server Rules
Server-Specific Rules: Each Community Game Server will have its own posted rules and guidelines that all players must follow.
Community Oversight: Violations of server-specific rules or broader community regulations may result in:
Warnings.
Temporary or permanent bans from the specific game server.
Termination of membership in the USFU community.
Right to Enforce: USFU reserves the right to ban or terminate any account, player, or member for violations of community regulations or server rules, without prior warning. Decisions made by community administrators are final and non-negotiable.
7. User Conduct and Community Standards
To maintain a respectful and safe environment:
Prohibited Activities:
Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or bullying of any kind.
Distribution of malicious software, hacking tools, or any content intended to harm others.
Sharing explicit, illegal, or unauthorized content.
Enforcement: Violations will result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, account suspension, or permanent bans.
8. COPPA Compliance and Parental Guidance
We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
Age Restriction: Individuals under 16 years of age are not allowed to join or provide personal information.
Parental Guidance: Parents and guardians are encouraged to review this policy before allowing individuals aged 16–18 to join.
Data Protection for Minors: If we discover that data has been collected from individuals under 16, it will be deleted immediately, and the account will be terminated.
9. Prohibited Conduct in Gaming and Communication
To protect the integrity of our community, the following activities are not permitted:
Cheating or Exploiting: Using unauthorized software, bots, or glitches to gain unfair advantages.
Account Sharing or Selling: Sharing accounts or selling/trading accounts is strictly prohibited.
Impersonation: Impersonating staff, moderators, or other members to deceive others.
Enforcement: USFU reserves the right to investigate and act against violators, including banning accounts and reporting illegal activities to authorities.
10. Third-Party Services and External Links
Integration: Our community may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Discord, payment processors, analytics tools).
Liability Disclaimer: USFU is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services. Members are encouraged to review their respective policies.
11. Liability and Indemnity
No Guarantee of Service: We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our services. Downtime due to maintenance, technical issues, or cyberattacks may occur.
Member Responsibility: Members agree to indemnify USFU against claims, losses, or damages resulting from their actions, including breaches of this policy.
